Housing and Tenant Rights

  • Mandatory Rental Registry for Landlords

  • Groundbreaking Rental Escrow Program 

  • Stopped Landlords from discriminating against Section 8 and other sources of legal income.

  • Stopped Landlords from discriminating against returning citizens.

  • Overhauled Code Enforcement and Rental Inspections

  • Home Repair Program to Assist Over 200 Homeowners.

  • Allocated $250,000 Dollars for Homelessness Prevention, With Over $50,000 coming directly to District 3.

Transportation and Infrastructure

  • Pass a County-wide Transit Millage, leading to expanded bus routes throughout Pontiac.

  • Secured $1.5 Million is Storm Sewer Infrastructure for the City of Pontiac

  • Oversaw the Repaving of *streets in North Hill Farms*

  • Repair And Replacement of City Streetlights

  • Brought DPW back in house and heavily invested in our new department.

  • Speed Humps in Neighborhoods to protect our children

  • Building Updates to Both Senior Centers

Environmental Justice and Green Spaces

  • Facilitated the First County Park in Pontiac, with Hawthorne Park Getting $1.5 Million in Improvements

  • Guaranteed New Civic Center Park in Downtown Development

  • Prioritized Community Health over Business Interests.

  • Approved Major Funding for Upgrades to North Kiwanis, Lakeside, and Cherrylawn Park.

  • Green Infrastructure Project at the Augusta Drain

  • Elimination of 43 Acre Parks Deficit

Economic Justice and Community Development

  • Small Business Revolving Loan Program

  • Removing Phoenix Center Tax Burden from City Taxpayers

  • Approved the Sell of The Ottawa Towers To Oakland County, bringing over 600 County employees downtown.

  • Approval Of Adult-Use Marijuana

  • Fought to make Food Truck Ordinance equitable for existing businesses.

Community Safety and Quality of Life

  • Body Cameras for Pontiac-Serving Sheriff's Deputies 

  • Nationally-Recognizing Ceasefire Initiative brought to Pontiac to Prevent Violent Crime Before it Takes Place

  • Abandoned Vehicles in Street Targeted for Removal

  • Purchased The New Youth Recreation Center Site, and Began Work.

  • Approved The Translation of City Documents into Spanish to City Council Offices and Added Bilingual Staff.
